SUPPORTED IN FIRMWARE 0.1.28 OR LATER

The Top Button (orange) can be set to initiate an emergency call. The receiving radio will alert and give the option to accept and join the emergency group, or to reject the emergency call.

Long Press: Emergency calling is initiated via a long press of the top orange button. Default LP time is 1500ms. (not currently editable)

Short Press: To cancel an emergency call from the initiating radio, please use the following procedure:

  • Press the top orange button for more than 750ms but less than 1500ms, and then release the button. The top LED will flash yellow during this time window indicating when to release the button.

Specific dealer portal and server settings are required for DN emergency as follows.

Dealer Portal:

After logging in to the dealer portal at  https://pocentel.co.uk/    click on the ‘Manage’ radios button for the relevant server the DN radio is provisioned to.

Next, click the pencil ‘edit’ button corresponding to the serial number of the DN radio. Note – after making changes on this page, click on the ‘Update Options’ button before proceeding to ‘Advanced Emergency Settings’.

Click ‘Advanced Emergency Settings’ from the radio options menu.

The Radio settings for Emergency mode are shown as follows. After entering all the required settings, please remember to click the ‘update’ button to save the configuration and send via an OTA update to the DN radio.

Please note that the required Server settings are shown for reference on the right hand side of this page.

T.Commander (PoC server):

From the dealer portal, access the T.Commander web interface by clicking on the ‘Edit server’ button.

The Server editor (T.Commander) will launch in a new browser window, and will show a list of servers managed from your account. After expanding the relevant server window, click users and then select the correct user account for the DN Radio. For DN emergency mode, the following settings for ’emergency’ must be used.

EMERGENCY SEND WITHOUT RECEIVE.

Emergency operation with the DN can now be enabled for send but not receive. This requires firmware version 0.2.12 or later. Please refer to the following page for more details. https://faq.entel.co.uk/2020/11/13/dn-emergency-send-without-receive/
