Cannot overwrite the file (Entel programmer V3.2.0.0 + V3.2.0.2

If you are trying to install models on the Entel Programmer for HT/HX radios and get the following message “ Failed to update HTxxx (1/1) - Can’t overwrite the file. If other Entel programmer is opened, Please close.

Files updated.”

Then the compatibility mode needs to be changed, to do this please follow steps below,

  1. Close all Entel programmers

  2. Right click on Entel Icon

  3. Click properties

  4. Select the Compatibility tab

  5. Make sure the “Run this program in compatibility mode for is ticket

  6. Use the drop down to select Windows XP (Service pack 3)

  7. Apply and OK

  8. Run the programmer and try to install models again.
