Install P1 or E-PoC Dispatcher on AWS Instance

Procedure to install dispatcher on EC2 Windows Server 2019 instance…

Create EC2 Windows Server 2019 instance and note the password that AWS will give you for connecting to it

Connect to instance

  • Open windows remote desktop

  • Create a connection with IP address, username Administrator

  • Allow saved password (if you want to)

  • Local Resources Remote Audio Settings, Allow record

  • Connect to the instance and type in the password, should now see a Windows Desktop

Enable Audio Service

  • Start, Settings, Sound

  • Click on Sound Control Panel

  • It will say Audio Service Not Enabled do you want to enable it.

  • Say yes.

Set group policy…

  • Right-click Start and type gpedit.msc, and click OK.

  • Expand Local Computer Policy.

  • Expand Computer Configuration.

  • Expand Administrative Templates.

  • Expand Windows Components.

  • Expand Remote Desktop Services.

  • Expand Remote Desktop Session Host.

  • In Device and Resource redirection, enable Allow Audio Recording Redirection.

Then install Remote Desktop Services

  • Start, Server Manager

  • Add Roles and Features

  • Start Remote Roles and Features Wizard

  • Role based or feature based installation

  • Select your server

  • Select Remote Desktop Services

  • Select Role Remote Desktop Session Host

  • Apply and accept the install and say Reboot if needed

  • May be disconnected while it happens

  • Come back shortly (5 mins) and reconnect

Install Dispatcher

  • Download Dispatcher to Client PC, currently PTT100-RodonSMART-1.7.36-setup_x64

  • Select from Explorer on client PC and copy

  • Go to Explorer on server select downloads and paste

  • Wait for it to copy

  • Double click to install

  • Accept license, make shortcut

  • Visual C may fail to install, just cancel

  • Go to Settings, Allow Apps to Access Microphone

Dispatcher should now run with both way voice
